just another sad afternoon

a sunless afternoon

She looked up

only dark clouds

another rainy afternoon

her heart refused the dance

the tune of gentle raindrops

tears fell

her eyes deny

This distance ….. this coldness

to demand this distance before its due

but it was not physical space she feared

She knew soon she will have to leave

To seize every chance

is what she willed

only to save new memories

to later play in the vastness of her mind

Was it this inevitable space ?

was it pain of leaving that caused these tears?

Or was it that she will have to go …

And you choose not to hold her …

even for this one last embrace .
