My Egg-shaped moon

Saw the bright moon last night on my way home… and attempted my mediocre shot. The result….

Egg-shaped Moon

"And God made two great Lights;...... and the lesser light to rule night..." (Genesis 1:16)

P.S.

I can’t help but laugh on my officemate’s comment when he jokingly asked, ” Is that Pampanga’s salted egg?” 🙂 hehehe

For the love of our heart….

Last week a friend sent me an email on how most women (and even men i believe) are at risk with major heart problems, I just thought of sharing  here some recommended prevention tips I was taught of and have proven it myself :

My friend it is important to always keep a sound heart because,

A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.”  Proverbs 14:30

So better check that envy stuff in there. Always choose to be merry, to be happy  whatever life brings out because,

“ A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones”  Proverbs 17:22

Have you observe those who all too often file for sick leaves?

To keep your heart in good shape, keep these out of your heart’s reach:

“ Let all bitterness and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:31-32

“ And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.” Colossians 3:14

And in order to maintain your heart in good shape, keep His words:

“ Thy words have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”   Psalm 119:11

And to learn the words of God that you will feed your heart in order to keep it in good shape,  the Members of the Church of God International (MCGI) would like to invite you on a date – a welcoming learning of the doctrines of Jesus Christ, February 14, 2011, 7pm in all Ang Dating Daan locales. Hoopsters meets the PBA Legends at the Dome for Isang Araw Lang

Got a bleacher ticket for basketball event last Sunday, which I later exchange for side court advantage hoping to get a better view of my favorite stars.  I have been watching PBA since gradeschool but not this near nor as live as this.

It was a charity game organized by UNTV Sports 37 and KAPI to raise funds to support the Free College Education of 200 scholars of La Verdad Christian School in Caloocan and Pampanga. This was spearheaded by none other than Mr. Public Service himself Kuya Daniel Razon who also played and coached the Hoopsters against the PBA Legends in the names of PBA MVP William “Bogs” Adornado,  Freddie Hubalde, Phillip Cezar, Atoy Co, Jerry Codiñera, Vergel Meneses, Jun Limpot, Kenneth Duremdes at Vince Hizon.

Fans quickly swarmed the court after the PBA legends won over the Hoopsters. I only had a few not-so-blurred shots with the stars as i made my way through the crowd. Though not quite satisfied, I headed to another pack where Kuya was welcoming fans and signing autographs.

The man who started it all.... the man behind genuine public services, Kuya Daniel Razon

Of Love without dissimulation.

It’s April 22 and it’s 2:20 am on my pc’s clock. I am way past my bedtime but I need to write this, not that I promised to turn in my journal for this week (my first actually) but more compellingly, I feel I need to respond to friend’s inappropriate reflection of what this faith proclaim and expose, of what this Church stand and fight for.

To begin with, it is not surprising that you are saddened by what seems to you as ‘utter repugnance’ … your reaction is far kinder. But please allow me to correct or rather allow me to clarify using what is Biblical as taught to us by our Preacher, Bro. Eli Soriano. This is not to engage in any debate. Am just merely responding to a post.

You say that we speak of utter repugnance to anything or anybody that fall short of moral standard. Have you heard us curse your priests? Have you even heard us curse your faith? No, please don’t point out implications of what you read about what we post. If our Preacher exposes the falsity of all your Catholic teachings, is that cursing? Is that misjudgment? The Bible has this to say :

(Romans 12:9) Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

When our Preacher proclaims what is good , it is inevitable that what is not good be exposed. The Bible even tells us to abhor what is evil. Abhorrence is synonymous to repugnance. You have been in the teaching field long before I was, you can not do away with comparison of things and objects to better explain your subject matter. Now, you might say, what is good is relative or that we define what is good. Let us again consult the Bible,

(Romans 7:12): Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

It is clear that the commandment is good. And God’s commandments for man to be perfect are all written in the Bible:

(2 Timothy 3:15-17) :

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Now the point is, are we saying your Catholic teachings are ‘not good’? A lot of Catholic teachings are proven to be Un-Biblical , is it still good ? you’re welcome to judge. When Apostle Paul preached he has this to say :

(I Corinthians 4:6) : And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

See, Apostle Paul said that we should not think above that which is written. Analyze this my friend, to even simply think beyond what is written is not allowed as the scripture says, how much more to have teachings that are not written, not found in the scriptures, not Biblical. Let me put it in your shoes, do you teach your students science concepts not found in reference books and call them scientific? Do you even discuss in your science class concepts that are not even profound but that because it has been traditionally accepted? My friend, as our Preacher campaigns – “Let us be Biblical”….. just as we must be scientific in what we teach.

If we go back to previous verses point out here, The Bible tells us to abhor what is evil and cleave to what is good. What is good are the commandments of God which are all written in the scriptures. And deducing from these, anything not written in the scripture is not good. Now so far, by pointing out these things, have we maligned any person? If you may sense repugnance my friend, it is not against the person but rather against the false teachings hoping that you awaken and realized these.

(Ephesians 6:12) – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Now, to point out a few for I was once a Catholic ( and these were the ones that hurt me the most upon discovering its falsehood):

(1)  Original sin, as what is being taught in catholic reference books, is not Biblical. Try searching any Bible and nowhere can it be found. A logical mind would normally ask why is called ‘original’ sin? Does this mean there is a ‘fake’ version? I once asked a priest about this and vaguely explained that this is due to the sin committed by Adam and Eve. Wow! Sa lahat ng pwedeng manahin, yung kasalanan pa? Wait, before I am charged of mockery here, read this :

(Ezekiel 18:20): The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

(2)  Nowhere in the Bible can you read that babies were baptized nor is there a place called “Limbo” where unborn or unbaptized babies go. Your Pope already announced this does not exist. Limbo is a catholic invented doctrine  (http://esoriano.wordpress.com/2007/06/27/limbo-a-catholic-invented-doctrine/)

Why would catholic priests baptize babies? Because of original sin?  Are babies, despite their innocence, capable of sin? Jesus Christ even likened entering the kingdom of heaven like little children :

(Matthew 18:3): And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

(3)  There’s a catholic teaching that says ‘there is nothing impossible with God’. Well, can God lie?

(Titus 1:2)-  In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Can you imagine what big problem would that be to salvation if God indeed has the capacity to lie?

(James 1:17)- Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

(4)  The seven sacraments are also unbiblical. More so the payment due for receiving any of these sacraments.

(Matthew 10:8) –Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

(5)  The so-called holy bread eaten during holy communion, does Christ really mean of the physical bread, the literal that we should eat upon communion with Him? Because He said,

(Matthew15:17) – Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

(1 Corinthians 6:13) – Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

(1 Corinthians 8:8) –But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

What food is Christ referring that we should eat in communion with Him? ( You’ll find beautiful and soul-quenching answers to this question from the Most Sensible Preacher of our time, Bro. Eli Soriano thru “Ang Dating Daan” program live at http://untvweb.com, his blog http://esoriano.wordpress.com, official church sites : http://mcgi.org ;  http://www.angdatingdaan.org )

The list can go on my friend, but I do not wish to spoil what you may hear and discover from Bro. Eli’s preaching.

Now, as to what you point out about dressing for women or even the wearing of make ups… I don’t remember judging. Honestly, you are dressed differently from what the Bible says (not me, the Bible):

(1 Timothy 2:9) – In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

Are shorts considered modest? Even make ups as what the Bible says?

Regarding long hair,

(1 Corinthians 11:15)-  But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

Why?

(1 Corinthian 11:5-6)-  But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

For next related part in your reflection about judging another, don’t you know that to Judge Others is an Act Inspired by the Holy Spirit?

But a wise Christian can judge. The notion that we- must-not-judge-because-God-is-the-only-rightful-judge is not biblical. Our Lord Jesus Christ once said that:

(Matthew 7:1-5) Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge,ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

These pronouncements of the Lord Jesus (if carefully considered from context) does not mean that a Christian must not judge. He is directing these to hypocrites. Hypocrites criticize and judge others of things which they themselves have, more grievously. A beam is greater than a mote! This is the practice of false preachers.”

I hope and pray you find time to check the links for further readings.

To this end, I pray God guide you and bless you and your family. This post does not intend to push down your throat what I embraced but merely to invite you to be Biblical and objective.

Take care my friend.

Reason for this distance….

the song says it all….

Agape by RedeEMed Band

I

Ayokong iwan ka

Ngunit wala naman akong magagawa

Alam ko na ayaw mo rin

Ngunit ito ang dapat nating gawin

Refrain:

Masakit man ito

Kailangan kong lumayo

Dahil may mas mahalaga kaysa sa ‘ting nadarama

At hindi itong damdamin ang dapat nating unahin

May tamang panahon

The PHENOMENAL Fun Run in Philippine History

I can not help but freeze in great awe as i watch this video.

We prayed for it’s success .. and God showered even more.

We hoped for runners of 50thou, God brought in round 70thou on grounds.

We ran for a noble cause…. God showed us our every stride was more than worth it.

We anticipated to just make each of us count…

God made us realized the essence of our collective efforts all geared in perfect unison to achieve a noble cause…..

When asked if this is a show of force…. I say no, it’s a show of unity.
